We are already green in our ethos, but in December, nature lends a hand! Malawi has one rainy season a year, and this begins around the beginning of December with some spectacular thunder storms. And as soon as we have had a few good rains, Mumbo erupts into a lush, green tropical forest, with all sorts of lilies and bulbs suddenly bursting into bloom: this is a wonderful time to visit Malawi!
And never fear – the sun soaking days on the beach are unaffected, as storms usually happen in the late afternoons and evenings as you are happily sipping your G & T’s in the bar. This is when you know you are on a 20 million year old lake on the Rift Valley in the middle of Africa – it is magnificent to see!
